Backpacking through United Kingdom in November?

Hello,
Hello,
I am planning on taking a short backpacking trip through the UK (two weeks) this November. I expect the weather to be cold and for a fair amount of rain. However, I hear that many historical attractions are either closed or reduce the amount of hours they are open during the winter season. I’ve also heard that its much cheaper given that it is off-season and I am on a budget. To me this outweighs the limited hours. But I was wondering can I still have a fairly decent time considering the weather and the limited hours of operation?

To be honest I wouldn’t recommend it, some of back packing places will be closed as well, next March or April might be a lot better.
Why not spend the time in a Monastery and beat your back with a Horse Whip?
I would prefer to go at another time of year personally - spring maybe. With lots of research and preparation, it’s possible to go cheap at other times of year too. If it’s now or never though, I’d go for it!
I certainly wouldn’t recommend it at that time of year. Best to wait till spring.
I live in the UK and travel around here all the time and have no problems visiting places. It will get dark around 4pm so this will affect how long you can stay at places though.
Accommodation will certainly be a bit cheaper though. Try as you reserve beds online for only a few cents/pence.
The weather can either be cold, grey and wet - *or* cold with bright clear blue skies, like it has been all this week (october). Indeed - it is a gamble if you have limited time here.
I hope that helps.
