I’m planning a backpacking trip through Europe in the Spring and Summer for about 3 months and I want to buy a comfortable pair of shoes that I can buy now to break in. Any suggestions?

runners/sneakers. If you want to go hill walking (I have done a lot of that in europe) buy walking boots, but if youre doing just normal walking, a good pair of breathable running shoes would be perfect. Bring flip-flops (thongs/jandals) swimwear and a raincoat!

Where in europe are you travelling to??

Most Europeans like converse, they last forever and you can start breaking them in now.

converse, i just came back from a backpacking trip through spain, and when i was walking in barcelona i was wearing converse, it sucked, i had more blisters then ever, wearing converse are nice to go out and have a good time but there is no support for the feet by waering them, not a great idea and i know and i regret buying them in the first place
